One packet will make 2 medium tarts or 8 single serve tarts.

Our sweet pastry is short, biscuity and melt in the mouth delicious, it’s so good you might skip the filling! In France this style of pastry is known as Pâte Sablée. Enriched with egg yolks and real vanilla it is the classic pastry for tarts and sable biscuits.

Uses

Depending on the recipe tarts often require blind baking prior to adding filling.

Tip

Save pastry trim, wrap in clingwrap and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes, re-roll and cut small biscuits, bake at 170c (fan-forced) for 8 – 10 minutes, delicious served with a flavoured cream and coffee.
